AOAC EXPERT REVIEW PANEL FOR FERTILIZERS

UPDATE ON ADDITIONAL VALIDATIONS AND NEXT STEPS FOR THE METHOD

• What is the hold up? • Have SLV study; have OMA method number; method now is more “mature” with limitations recognized and  corrected, where possible. • In 2013, when SLV was conducted, Study Director was allotted more time for method development. • Was also year elected to AAPFCO Board of Directors • Also now chair of two committees and one investigator assignment • Change in employer’s priorities with expanded services and job requirements. • Very high priority for the Study Director, but many assignments rated higher by employer. • Could probably get to the distribution of study samples, assisting collaborators and collecting data • Much harder to process data – i.e. outlier and statistical analyses • Virtually impossible to find time to write manuscript • Don’t want to start something I can’t finish and anger collaborators • Study Director is currently at an impasse • Open to viable suggestions/options
