than layered/laminated designs allowing them to take more hits and endure higher stress, giving increased operating life and less machine downtime. The more aerodynamic BackBone™ design functions at lower power consumption and higher TPM with improved wire quality and a further reduction in bow breakage.

method that does not depend on high-volume air consumption. The e cient design yields e ective drying using a very low volume of compressed air and lasts much longer than other brands due to the rugged ceramic insert lining the wire path. This equates to over 25 per cent reduction in compressed air usage and an operating life of years against months. composite Standard and BackBone™ yer bow constructions have greater durability Keir’s triaxially braided

Lubrication is one of the crucial factors for the quality of the drawn wire. An interrupted lubrication in the steel wire drawing process causes increase of surface tension in the wire, strong pressures inside the die, rapid die wear, breakage of the drawing nib and consequent non-programmed interruptions in the wire drawing process.

The K.340 from Koner

In order to avoid these problems, Koner has studied a new concept line of drawing dies – K.340 and K.370 pressure drawing die (patented worldwide) – specially constructed and designed to greatly improve lubrication in dry drawing of steel wire.
