The last born of the “E-bond” family is E5. The main characteristics of E5 are friability and toughness. E5 is su ciently friable to allow self- dressing of wheels, and very tough, so as to hold Cubitron™ (3M) grain longer than other bonds. The resulting reduced heating and damage of steel during the grinding operation provides an answer to current market requirements for a better quality of springs in terms of geometry and consistency of deformation under load.

These new products immediately proved such advantages in terms of productivity, quality of ground surfaces and wheel life to rapidly substitute grinding wheels made with conventional abrasives. and established relationship with grinding machine manufacturers, Camfart further developed its product range, mainly in the eld of organic wheels. This was followed by a family of grinding wheels, based on a revolutionary sintering system to optimally bond seeded gel abrasives. Leveraging its experience

➣➢➣ Candor has machinery in more than 25 countries, including machines for plating on stainless and HC steel spring wires, plating on low and high carbon steel wires, plating on copper and copper alloy wires with high-speed single wire plating plants for electro plating nickel, silver, zinc or tin on various copper wire products. Typical plants are high speed tinning plants, and nickel and silver plating on special alloy wires as well as 27 per cent nickel plating on special alloy wires. Candor was founded in 1946 and specialises in processes and equipment for the surface treatment and metal nishing industry. The company supplies both single and multi-strand systems for ferrous and non-ferrous materials and all plants are tailor-made. Camfart tested E5 bond on a wide variety of hardened steel springs: the spark time decreases by 30 per cent and the wheel life increases by 50 per cent, dressing operations are minimised and stock removal remains high. Because of this an increasing number of spring manufacturers across major European countries are using E5 wheels in their operations. Established in 1951, Camfart produces a wide variety of vitri ed and organic wheels for the most important end uses, like precision grinding, centre-type and centreless grinding, disc and surface grinding, foundry, spring end grinding and others. The products meet safety standards established by oSa (Organisation for the Safety of Abrasives) and quality and environmental system are certi ed according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
