CDRF’s Partnerships, Access to Expertise, and Funding Leverage • Aligned with California universities and institutions and has access to world-leading researchers at the University of California, Cal Poly SLO, Western Human Nutrition Center, USDA, ARS, the California Animal Health and Food Safety Laboratory, and others. • Partnerships with major California processors allow collaborative research expenditure and funding leverage to maximize research impact. • Founded the IMGC, a unique and cutting-edge International Consortium, in 2003. CDRF has managed the IMGC since that time. • Founding member of the International Scientific Association for Probiotics and Prebiotics (ISAPP) since 2002. ISAPP has been instrumental to advancing scientific excellence in probiotics and prebiotics. • Partnerships and collaborations not only leverage its checkoff dollars, but also leverage its expertise. CDRF is able to leverage funding from $1 to $4.
