mid-size chains (H-E-B, Publix). • Bob Constantino has had a number of successes assisting with developing the Cacique brand in the East, utilizing a combination of demos, IRC’s, sampler boxes and POS to support these new distribution efforts. A number of SKU’s have been approved in: • Walmart • Publix • Southeastern Grocers • Ahold (Stop & Shop and Giant Food Stores) • Bob Constantino has been working with many specialty cheese processors (Sierra Nevada, Fiscalini, Point Reyes, Marin French, Karoun, Bellwether Farms, Rizo Lopez) in the development of their brands in the East. We’ve been employing a number of CMAB promotional vehicles such as demos, sampler boxes, coupons, POS material, food shows, etc. to continue to gain new authorization and awareness with the East Coast consumer. We’ve also paired some of them up with local food brokers, in an effort to have consistent, local sales and merchandising presence in these markets. • Bob Constantino has been encouraging our Processors to consider utilizing local specialty food brokers in the markets they are looking to develop. He created a list of brokers that he recommended they interview, based on his experience, knowledge of working with these brokers and their impact in respective markets. Local brokers have relationships, knowledge of the local consumer, merchandising experience, etc. • A recent success story is with Fiscalini. They just secured a number of new SKU’s in the NY/NJ market utilizing Epicure as their distributor. A total of 15 new retail accounts have approved Fiscalini products. CMAB’s support of sampler boxes, coupons, demos, and POS were a material part of achieving these successes. • Gourmet Foods International (GFI) has experienced significant growth in 2016/2017. They now have 8 distribution centers (coast to coast) and are “THE” Player in the specialty foods distribution business. They employ a Sales, Merchandising and Marketing staff of over 120 people. Their substantial distribution network is a perfect vehicle for our Processors to gain traction in every key specialty foods market. We are also securing a meeting with GFI top Executives to discuss their marketing needs for 2018 and our strategic objectives. • We also work closely with a number of other distributors in the East (i.e. Lipari, Epicure, Anco, and CheeseWorks, Atlanta) in order to fill distribution voids that GFI may not handle or be authorized in.
