The Inner-Connection - WINTER 2016

By Linda Bender

F or a number of years (well, decades actually) there have been changes in areas of learning or growth of some kind at each solstice and equinox with the start of a new season. In general we do not have an alert about the nature of the changes ahead of time. The Sun moves and the new season begins and we notice afterward that there are differences of some kind. There is generally an acclimation period that runs to the end of the month so we can understand the changes and the effects they may have. At the start of the new month we actually need to begin working on the new activities. This year the Winter Solstice is on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at 5:44 am EST, when the Sun moves into Capricorn. And this year uniquely there have been some channeled pieces of information about the changes before they actually take place. Mission Information: The primary change is that some doors or pathways have been opened to information you may have been seeking. Perhaps you have been wondering just exactly why you came onto Earth at this point or the nature of the goals for you in this lifetime. This is generally called your “mission” and leads to questions like “What is my mission this time around?” That answer will now be available to you and the necessary doors or pathways will have opened so you can see clearly. And, most important, these doors and pathways will remain open until at least December 2017. As always, it is better for you to try to access this information yourself. Here is an easy way to do that: For three days, morning and night, be still as if you were starting a meditation. Sit or stand very tall and then ask your question. It might be something like this: I know I am here to do something special in this lifetime but I don’t know what that is. Please help me to discover this mission. Then you need to pay attention and to listen to what is going on around you. The answer usually appears within 10 to 14 days. It may be an idea that shows up in a later meditation. It may be something you read in the newspaper or online or in a book or in a story or anything like that. It may be prompted by something you hear on the radio or watch on TV. You may feel a little jump or a zing inside or a sense of wanting to know more about a topic. Those clues indicate to you that you have found your answer. It is always a good idea to confirm the answer when you use a process like this. I generally ask for three confirmations but then I am pretty fussy about

accuracy. To get a confirmation just keep paying attention. You will find that the answer will pop into your mind again at an odd moment–if you are consciously thinking about your request and the possible answer, that does not count since it most likely came out of the memory in your brain. But if you are doing something totally different and the answer is suddenly there in your thoughts again, that counts as a confirmation. Sometimes a confirmation can also take the form of more information about how or where to work on the mission.

A major point is that you need to be very comfortable with all these answers. If you find yourself frustrated in getting your confirmations, it may take having a reading from a channel you trust to clarify the information for you. Answers to Longer-Term Questions: You will also be able to get answers to questions or to clarify confusions that have been in your mind. The same door or pathway is open for this information as well as for mission answers. It will be easiest to do this at the end of December and on into January and then it will weaken somewhat in February. Once we get to March we will most likely move into preparation for the Spring Equinox and be off into other things. Use the same techniques and confirmations that you used for mission information–the only difference is that your request will be about your question or your confusion. Both of these searches for information may prompt you to change plans or how you decide to use leisure time in order to explore the new activity–you might try a new field of study or interest or begin to expand a circle of friends. Remember that in all things you have free will choice and that you do not have to become an expert in any new field immediately. It’s OK to take it slowly and work with the concepts to see how they will change your world. After all, you eventually want to integrate these new ideas into your daily life and make them totally your own. Mercury Retrograde: One very important caution about this time period and any searches for answers you may be doing is that Mercury goes retrograde on December 19 th at 5:55 am and will remain so until January 8, 2017, at 4:43 am. You may be asking “so what does that mean?” In astrology Mercury represents all things associated with communications in all its facets, and that includes computers, any plans and media. Periodically all planets (except the Sun and the Moon) appear to turn backwards for a period and that is called a retrograde. Mercury does that three or four
