MASCOT® SAFE AQUA

Look for the hydrostatic pressure

When buying waterproof workwear, it is important to notice the product’s hydrostatic pressure. The hydrostatic pressure test indicates, in millimetres, the fabric’s ability to resist water penetration. Clothing to sit, stand and walk in when the rain is pouring down has to have a high hydrostatic pressure rating. In such situations, you should select products with a water resistance of at least 10,000 mm, so you are sure to stay dry all day.

Hydrostatic Pressure Test The hydrostatic pressure is tested by placing a cylinder of water on a piece of fabric. The water is pressed against the fabric to test how much water pressure the fabric can withstand without water penetrating the fabric.
