The total gross carrying amount of the impaired receivables as at reporting date is R7 124 953 of which Levy Debtors are R2 403 058 (2025: R957 049) and the associated total impairment is R384 965(2025: R81 058). Of these debtors the recovery was R0(2025: R0). 20. Risk management Financial risk management The Ombud Council is exposed to a variety of financial risks as a consequence of its operations namely, credit risk and liquidity risk. Financial risk management is carried out under approved policies. Liquidity risk Prudent liquidity risk management implies maintaining sufficient liquid resources and the ability to settle debts as they become due. The entity will continue to manage liquidity risk through an ongoing review of future commitments.
