EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION GUIDE

Portable Meat Freezers

KES INSTALLER 1. Place meat freezers per drawing. 2. Run overnight. Units must reach 0° -10°F in 1 1/2 hours provided electrical service is available, and the outlet devices are installed. Dependent on electrical work being completed.

Filet / Chicken Freezers

KES Installer 1. Hang freezers in place per drawings. (GC is responsible for backing support) 2. Run overnight. Units must reach 0° –10°F in 1 1/2 hours, provided electrical service is available, and the outlet devices are installed.

Chilled Rail

KES Installer 1. Install chilled rail under prep table over-shelf and plug unit into outlet in prep table. 2. Place trays in all open spaces, turn unit on and run for 30 minutes. The controller should display between 25 and 30.

Fabricated Tables, Stands & Racks

KES Installer 1. Position all tables, stands & racks in or near desired position in kitchen. 2. Attach fabricated racks or shelves to wall per location shown on plans. 3. Perform any miscellaneous assembly required. 4. If kitchen area is not ready for tables, stands, or racks in area. Stage in rear room. 5. Remove plastic from all stainless steel equipment except from visible work surfaces. KES Installer 1. Mount according to instructions. 2. Mount trash can liner dispenser and smart wall. 3. Set warewasher in place, if applicable. 4. Call Ecolab immediately after installation to schedule the calibration, training and start-up. 5. Set power soak sinks in place, if applicable Scullery Sink, Warewasher or Power Soak

Plumbing Contractor 1. Connect hot and cold water to faucet, pre-rinse and mop sink. 2. Assemble drain baskets and lever wastes to drain lines. 3. Make final connections to warewasher, if applicable.

4. Water pressure must be great or equal to 20 psi and hot water temperature must be 90° - 140°F. 5. Local codes may require the final water connection to the chemical dispensing system be made by the plumber. This would include the installation of any back flow devices. Electrical Contractor 1. Make final ware washer connections, if applicable. 2. Make all internal and external power soak sink connection. Note: There is a low voltage wiring harness which is a twist connection that must be connected underneath the power soak near the center and to the rear of the system.

Kay Chemical 1. Make connection from dispensing equipment to the sink, power soak sink or warewasher.
