SPIFAN Objectives • Priority #1: SMPRs, First Action, Final Action, ISO/IDF Standards, Codex Type II methods for all priority nutrients/groups of nutrients • Priority #2: Forum/opportunity to consider new/updated nutrient technologies, expansion of current methods (re Codex), and non- nutritive topics (e.g., “evergreen” process). • Priority #3: Long-term, sustainable program to facilitate global awareness, knowledge and acceptance of SPIFAN process and methods, including capacity building, certification and proficiency (possibly in conjunction with other AOAC Stakeholder Panels)
