I am pleased to announce that we held our AGM last month and some new committee members have joined the team, including a new position of publicity officer. Committee Members Chair -Sean Hannigan Vice Chair - Stewart Rivers Secretary - Kyle Hardcastle Treasurer - Petra Loyer Publicity Officer - Nistor Becia Membership Levels It was agreed that there will be three levels of membership within the group: Associate (A.PolEd) • Member (M.PolEd) • Fellow (F.PolEd) The implementation of these levels brings us in line with other academic memberships and seeks to provide members with a formal recognition of their membership. The committee are currently discussing the criteria for each of the grades, but it will likely depend on a validation process, contribution to the group and professional development - both vocational and academic. Workshop and Social Event October 2018 will see our first Police Educators Workshop and social event. Details will be confirmed at a later date. Police Educators Journal The group is seeking to produce its own periodical containing articles related to a range of police training topics and police related academic papers. This will be circulated across Section UK and abroad to share learning and promote our work.
