An air mail Silver Yuan cover from Kunming to Canada, bearing Silver Yuan Union Press surcharged on revenue $50 on $50, East Szechwan surcharged 5c on $500,000, tied by bilingual ‘KUNMING/YUNNANFU’ cds, ‘HONG KONG/24.11.49’ transit on reverse, damaged at the top left corner. A Silver Yuan cover from Canton to Hong Kong, bearing the Unit Stamps Domestic Ordinary orange, tied by bilingual ‘CANTON’ cds, with contents clarifying the rumors of The Liberation Army troops moving to HK, was not true, and also recounting the Pearl River Bridge being bombed by the Liberation Army on 14th Oct. 1949, a very useful historical civilian document regarding the Liberation of Canton, contents are toned.
