AOAC RESEARCH INSTITUTE AOAC OFFICIAL METHODS OF ANALYSIS (OMA)

OMAMAN-28/AOAC 2006.03 Study Director: Sharon Webb, University of Kentucky, Division of Regulatory Services, 103 Regulatory Services Bldg, Lexington , Kentucky 40546-0275 At present, there are no safety concerns with the exception of the contemporary use of nitric and hydrochloridric acids. In addition, the use of microwave digestion units at 200 °C has to be carefully considered. I have not seen a review by the safety advisor. The safety checklist seems appropriate. I do not have any additional concerns regarding the safety of this method.

At present, there are no concerns with relation to data manipulation, data tables and statistical analysis. I have not seen a review by the statistical advisor. However I do not have any concerns regarding the statistics used to support this method other than the use of a broader selection of materials (organic derivation) used in future work or data reviews.
