Cancel a Check In

If you have processed a check in of a guest into Opera, then as there has been a financial transaction, the “Cancel Check In” button will not work

Select the reservation from the dashboard GO TO OPTIONS > ROOM MOVE Move the guest to a PM room (9000+) Go to OPTIONS > BILLING, logging on to Cashier

[PAYMENT]

Process a refund of the payment in Opera (negative amount on the Payment Window

Insert a valid reason in the reason box on the payment window

[CLOSE] the folio. Do NOT attempt to check it out. Let the PM reservation run through the night audit The night audit will have posted the Accommodation charge on. Reverse this charge to code 1000 – Accommodation so that the bill is now at £0

[CHECKOUT]

Amend the Room Status to Clean or Dirty (Default is Dirty)

**Note this is a workaround due to a bug in Opera**
