Lost Property

Sometimes our guests leave items behind when they check out. If this happens you need to keep it safe as per policy below.

What to do: • Place the item(s) in a clear bag

• Fill in a ‘Lost Property Label’ with: Date found, Room Number, Guests Name & Item(s) found

• Put the label onto the seal of the bag

• Tell the Duty Manager in case the guest phones up. If it is a large or valuable item, the manager needs to phone the guest

• Fill in the Lost Property book (as per below)

• We need to keep any lost property for 3 months. After 3 months we can get rid of the items

• Always keep mobile phone charges etc behind reception. These can then be used by other guests if they have forgotten theirs  • Any valuable items (i.e. phones, tablets, jewellery) need to be labelled and kept in the safe
