Principles of Guest Profiles

Every guest that stays with us has a personal profile in Opera which contains their name and contact details including address, telephone number and email address. Most of this information is gathered in advance if they book over the telephone, or via our website. Sometimes the information is not provided on booking, for example if a company makes a booking, or someone makes a group booking. It is mandatory that this information is captured on Check In on the registration card AND Opera is then updated with that information.

You will normally access the guest profiles from the guest’s reservation screen.

2.2

Making a New Guest Profile

From the Dashboard, Select Go To Profiles

Before making a new profile you MUST always search to see if the guest has an existing profile. Within the yellow box starting with the Name field, try and locate the guests profile before a new one is created. After you have entered the data click on Search to see if their details already exist on our database. Tip: SEARCH using Surname and Initial, but when making a profile ALWAYS use full name so the data is up to date and useful.

Profiles are shared among all lodges and we only want one profile per guest.

If their details are not in our database click on new and select the relevant profile type followed by OK
