Making a Reservation

Use [SCOPE] If you need to amend the dates or numbers of sleepers The Reservation window will be presented. Use the [...] button next to the Name field to start the guest profile search / profile creation steps

If you locate a previous guest profile, always press EDIT and ask the guest to confirm their contact details and email address. NEVER read out guest profile information from the system in case it is not the right guest. Always ask them to confirm their details to you. Select an existing guest profile, or create a new guest profile (see section 2.2) Making a New Guest Profile and press OK to return to the reservation window Enter the source of the booking (Lodge booking = PMS, CRO = CRO) Select the payment type e.g. Visa, Mastercard etc. All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card. Solo and Maestro are NOT acceptable as a guarantee but can be used for payment Enter the card no (typically 16 digits) and the expiry date. Do not write these down on paper during the process Enter any Special Requests e.g. Make Sofa Bed, Set as Twin (Zip and Link Rooms) or Early Arrival/Late Departure. You can also note any special occasions in the Special Requests field [SAVE]. At this stage the reservation no is generated, and the room is removed from your inventory The confirmation box will pop up (shown below). Mark an X in the Email box and SEND. If the guest does not have an email address (extremely rare!) then print the confirmation to hand or post to guest Update the Comments Field for clarity on special requests
