Check In

Check in a Guest who has Prepaid (E.g. DP Reservations)

If a guest has already paid, the status of their reservation will be DP AND there will be a Guest Balance on the reservation

Select Check In Guest

[OK] on the Payment Method Screen

The billing window will open and the payment previously made will be shown as “Deposit Matured”

[CLOSE] the billing window

If Opera asks for payment, then there could be an outstanding balance, e.g. if packages or extra nights have been added on. Do not ignore requests for payment or your cash will not balance

Check in a Guest on a Gift Experience Stay

A guest on gift experience stay MUST book via CRO in advance, so we can check the voucher is valid. There will be a routing lamp on the booking as we will invoice the company for the stay on check out

The guest should present their gift voucher on arrival

Select Check In Guest

[OK] on the Payment Method Screen Log on to Cashier – no payment will post

NEVER reveal the rate to the guest and do NOT provide them with a receipt showing the amount. The rate in our system is a NET rate, after commission, and the guest will have paid a lot more than this.
