path, wearing a rain cape, when P comes to “see” me; he shows me his bandaged right hand, which was hurt at work and had to be treated by a bone-setter and he says that whatever he tries to do, something happens as if to block the way; he says he is trying to understand what is still lodged inside him… I send him away fairly soon, there is nothing I can do till he truly comes to terms with his own actions, instead of clinging on to the possibility I might take him back and all this would be erased like a dream; but how could I, when he has yet to understand how he could ever betray me…
