Someone has slashed the seat cover of the “Pushpak” that I always park right there by the access to the gate, along the road: is it retaliation of some kind…?

Once again, I am asked – this time by a quiet middle-aged couple, whether this is indeed the place of the Samadhi of a great “siddhar”… this reference comes up now and then and I still have not ascertained the facts, except that there is mention in some local chronicles of the past century or so of a famous siddhar passing through the area and perhaps settling a while in the Pondicherry area, perhaps in the mid-1900s… I have called Ecoservice people to collect some old sections of hose and rusted metal rods and discarded electronics…

Rs. 10/- are offered; yesterday M.O. from Madurai sent by courier an offering to Sri Ganesh and his pujari: longis and small painted clay figures and a small calendar in Ganesha’s image (she also sent a contribution to the new site of Rs. 500/-).
