P. brings a bunch of fresh basil from the Farm; it’s his birthday today but he was unable to go to Sri Aurobindo’s room as he usually does as, he says, he owns not a single rupee; when I remind him that he seems to make no effort to find a full-time job, he tells me that there might be a chance to join the “Gold’n Glass” unit – I know they are getting a very large order for a new temple up North and they need more qualified people, which P. certainly is with his experience of several years manufacturing the Matrimandir golden tiles… I give him sweets; he watches the puja for a long time and then leaves.
