The implications of the SMART training concept extend beyond the immediate scope of the automotive industry, finding applicability in various sectors. In particular, the automotive sector stands to benefit by classifying specific training initiatives that can be optimized using the SMART framework to yield targeted and impactful outcomes. 5. Conclusion and Limitations As a cornerstone of the European economy, the automotive industry assumes a vital role that underscores the importance of fostering an efficient and high-quality employee development process. Recognizing these considerations, adopting a structured approach to employee training emerges as a mutually advantageous strategy, facilitating growth and proficiency for both employees and employers. This research paper is grounded in a meticulous review of existing literature and a comprehensive analysis of secondary data sources. While these methodologies yield valuable insights, it is imperative to acknowledge the inherent limitations associated with theoretical frameworks and secondary data sources. Rather than undermining the study’s credibility, these limitations present an opportunity to explore the practical application of the SMART training concept in real-world scenarios within the modern automotive landscape. In light of these considerations, the author intends to validate the proposed SMART training framework through empirical verification within authentic business environments. This verification process aims to ascertain the primary advantages, identify potential barriers, and propose enhancements to the theoretical concept. By bridging the gap between theory and practice, this approach seeks to enhance the robustness and applicability of the SMART training framework within the dynamic context of the automotive industry. By systematically addressing the limitations identified in theoretical and secondary data-based approaches, the study sets the stage for a nuanced exploration of the SMART training concept’s efficacy in enhancing employee development processes. As the automotive industry continues its trajectory of evolution, the strategies employed for workforce development must similarly adapt to the changing landscape.
