observations during coding. We kept track of coded segments and their frequency across the interview and went constantly back and forth between coding, comparing, and memoing. Based on your coded segments, create a frequency table with codes and their occurrences in the interview and track how many times each code appears. A review of the frequency table to identify key themes or patterns was performed. Concretely, this study presents an analysis of ten semi-structured interviews that ranged from 60 – 90 minutes each. Out of which seven interviews were conducted with line workers in the automotive industry, and three experts on learning and development in the automotive, offering diverse perspectives on the sector’s rapid evolution. Firstly, the meticulous analysis following the GT and Empowering theory with the assembly line workers will be discussed, followed by the detailed analysis of the L&D experts. 3.2 Interview with Line Workers As for the line workers in the automotive, each of them provided distinct roles and experiences. There were 2 women and 5 men. Two workers were from Slovakia and the rest were Czech nationals, including a line manager with 32 years of experience, an assembly line worker with over two decades in the industry, and other workers varying in age, background, and job position. These interviews provide insights into the challenges and adaptations workers face amidst technological advancements and the industry’s shift towards sustainable practices. The focus is on understanding the impact of upskilling and reskilling initiatives, job satisfaction, work-life balance, and the future outlook of the automotive sector. This concise exploration aims to capture the essence of the workforce’s experiences, contributing valuable viewpoints to the discourse on the automotive industry’s transformative journey.
