BACCANERA LANGHE ROSSODOC The name Baccanera translates from Italian as blackberry and refers to the four important grape varieties that constitute the final blend: Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Nebbiolo. Each varietal is cultivated in a separate vineyard and vinifications of the four grapes are carried out independently. The final blend is composed after the wines have undergone malolactic fermentation, and the exact composition of the blend will vary from year-to-year in keeping with the conditions each vintage.

BAROLODOCGWHITE LABEL Lo Zoccolaio Barolo DOCG White Label follows local tradition of blending fruit from multiple comunes—in this case: Barolo, Monforte d’Alba, and Verduno. As a small-scale producer, Lo Zoccolaio executes meticulous attention to detail in every stage of wine making from vine to bottle. Hand-selected fruit undergoes soft pressing prior to a stainless-steel fermentation. 36 months of barrique aging follow with 1/3 new barrels, 1/3 second passage, and 1/3 third passage.

BAROLO RISERVA DOCGWHITE LABEL Lo Zoccolaio Barolo Riserva is sourced from only 2 hectares of vineyard, one of which is in Barolo—the other of which is in Monforte d’Alba. Older vines and lower yields result in concentrated aromas and flavors. Careful winemaking is intended to protect and enhance those naturally complex aromas. Gentle pressing and stainless-steel fermentation precede 42 months in barrique: 1/3 new barrels, 1/3 second passage, and 1/3 third passage.
