“Ferzo,” in Italian refers to a swatch of fabric that, when stitched together with others, creates a sail. The union of the finestviticultural “swatches” in Abruzzo gives life to Ferzo, a distinctive line of wines which embody the best of region’s indigenous grape varieties and individual terroirs. The Ferzo line presented by Codice Citra is the result of extensive studies on specificsoil types, vine varietals and biotypes, and climatic variations throughout southern Abruzzo.The finished wines showcase specific aspectsofAbruzzo’s identity that are inimitable and which speak to this beautiful region’s tremendous diversity and potential for quality.
