This course provides a fantastic opportunity for you to achieve undergraduate and postgraduate-level study. You’ll gain hands-on experience assessing, diagnosing and treating riders on campus, working with different equestrian disciplines and levels, from grassroots to elite. You'll also have opportunities to gain injury management experience in other mainstream sports. Our international equine facilities and sports- club style environment will offer plenty of opportunities for you to get hands-on. The course is accredited by the Society of Sports Therapists, which means you’ll graduate as a qualified sports therapist. Industry opportunities You’ll undertake a minimum of 200 hours of work experience in an equestrian practice or another sporting environment to ensure you’re industry ready when you graduate. Students have recently worked with British Showjumping and as part of our own NAF International Hartpury Horse Trials. This course is ideal for those who want to be a sports therapist and have a specific interest in improving rider performance and rehabilitating riders from injury. competition and rehabilitating them from injury. On graduation you’ll be a registered member of the Society of Sports Therapists. This means you’ll be eligible to apply for Professional Liability Insurance which will enable you to practise as a qualified sports therapist.
