On the upside, the government’s focus on building climate resilient infrastructure and economic sectors can potentially reduce the impact of future natural disasters on the economy. Additionally, the successful operationalisation

of the Climate Resilience Execution Agency of Dominica (CREAD) could boost the government’s capacity for implementing planned projects. Finally, the advancement of public sector projects such as the geothermal energy plant, the sustainable housing solution project and private sector tourism projects would contribute positively to the development of the economy.
