COMMENTARY FROM THE CEO Le français suit ci-dessous. September, 2017
Dear Stakeholders of the New Brunswick Health Research Enterprise, The past month of September is synonymous with a kind of febrility and renewal as students headed back to school. Fund- ing announcements regarding health research in New Brunswick were also made in September and we are now reflecting
on our many reasons to be thankful as we move closer to Thanksgiving and the NBHRF annual conference on Nov. 1-2 and the Gala of Excellence celebrating our 2017 Rising Stars .
We congratulate the very recent appointment of NB MLA for Kent South, Mr. Benoit Bourque appointed as Minister of Health, and the Minister responsible for NBHRF as we look forward to engaging and working with him and the DoH team on may items including the fact that all pillars of health research can benefit our healthcare system. We also congratulate the Hon. Bill Fraser as Minister responsible for RDC, and the Hon. Roger Melanson to PETL / Post Secondary Education Training and Labour, for they are branches of GNB that we engage with. The Premier is also now the regional minister for Saint John and Southwest NB. We say goodbye to the outgoing Ministers and note that we have appreciated their support, particularly the Hon. Victor Boudreau , our former Minister responsible for NBHRF.
