The proposed project consist of the purchase of a combination welder, generator and air compressor unit to be mounted on the new concrete utility truck. 19-STEQ-005 WELDER/GENERATOR/AIR COMP UNIT

Description:

The addition of this equipment will improve job site efficiency on construction projects.

Justification: Budget Impact:

The proposed project will upgrade the fuel tank monitoring system used at the central fueling facility. 19-STEQ-006 GASBOY TANK MONITOR UPGRADE

Description: Justification:

The new upgrades will enable a better interface with current system and allow for better monitoring of the fuel that is being used.

Budget Impact:

The proposed project will consist of replacing the 1999 Case tractor that is used for mowing right of ways and ditches. 21-STEQ-001 MOWING TRACTOR REPLACEMENT The current tractor is a 1999 model year and will be 21 years old at the time of replacement. The Project is currently under consideration for replacement in 2021.

Description: Justification:

This project will have minimal impact on the budget.

Budget Impact:

The proposed project will replace the current boom mower with a new piece of equipment. This purchase will coincide with the purchase of a new tractor. 21-STEQ-002 ARM MOWER REPLACEMENT

Description:

The current unit was purchased in 199 and will be in need of replacement. Maintenance costs should decrease with the purchase of a new piece of equipment.

Justification: Budget Impact:

The proposed project will replace a 1997 Elgin Mechanical Street Sweeper with a new unit. 22-STEQ-001 STREET SWEEPER REPLACEMENT The current sweeper will be 22 years old at time of replacement and will need to be replaced.

Description: Justification: Budget Impact:

Maintenance costs should be lower due to a new vehicle.

The proposed project will construct a new equipment storage building at the street division location. 23-STEQ-001 EQUIPMENT STORAGE

Description: Justification:

Currently some of the department's equipment is being stored in a concrete domed building. This structure was previously used as a trickling filter when the city's wastewater treatment plant was located on the site of the current street division. This building is not suitable for the storage of equipment due to moisture issues.
