Cisco Webex Board About the Cisco Webex Board

The Cisco Webex Board is a complete meeting concierge. You can collaborate with co-workers wherever they are. The Webex Board takes the place of all your devices — video screen, whiteboard, phones, and cameras. The Cisco Webex Board is designed to work with the Cisco Webex Teams Application (app) . There are three main functions:

Call

Whiteboard

Share screen

Call

Pair Your Device

Make calls from the Cisco Webex Board 1. From the home screen on the Webex Board , tap Call 2. Type the name of the person you want to call

To pair your device with the Cisco Webex Board it must have the Cisco Webex Teams App installed. Once installed and running, the app and the Webex Board automatically pair when you walk in the room. The app uses your device’s microphone to detect and pair the Cisco Webex Board by listening for an ultrasound signal. Make sure the microphone on your device is turned on. To enable paring on your laptop: 1. In the app, open Settings 2. Select Audio 3. Check the Allow Cisco Webex Teams to always discover nearby Cisco Webex Teams Room Systems checkbox

3. Select the contact from the search results list

4. Tap Call

Make calls from the Cisco Webex Teams App 1. Select the person or space you want to call button and select Call 3. Select the Webex Board from the Calling Devices dropdown if needed 2. Click the Activity Join a Webex Meeting from a Cisco Webex Board 1. From the home screen on the Webex Board , . 2. When using the keyboard, type the address from your meeting invite. EX: username@fano.webex.com Answering calls When your device is paired to a Webex Board , incoming calls will default to answer on the Webex Board . When the call notification pops up, click Answer . If you would rather answer the call on your device, click Answer on my computer . tap Call 4. Click Call

4. Click Save

To enable paring on your mobile device: 1. Click Connect to a device . 2. Click Search for a device . 3. The closest device will appear (e.g. DC-Shaw). 4. Click the DC-Shaw option . The option to enter a code will appear. 5. Enter the 4 digit code seen on the Webex Board. 6. You are now connected to the DC-Shaw Webex Board.

Whiteboard The Whiteboard allows you to collaborate on sketches and designs. It has two points of contact meaning two people can draw on it at the same time. All whiteboards are automatically saved on the Webex Board but they can be sent to the Webex Teams App as well. Open the Whiteboard 1. From the home screen on the Webex Board , Whiteboard options Once you open the Whiteboard it will create a new whiteboard that you can draw on right away with your fingers or with the stylus that comes with the Webex Board . You can choose between the four marker colors or the eraser tool. tap Whiteboard You will also see the New whiteboard option which allows you to create an additional whiteboard and the All whiteboards which allows you to see and switch between all the whiteboards save on the Webex Board . Save Whiteboard to Webex Teams Once you are finished with your whiteboard you can save it to the Webex Teams App for later reference. 1. Tap the Save to Webex Teams button 2. Tap Create Space . A new Space will appear in the Webex Teams App with a screenshot of your whiteboard.

Share screen There are two ways you can share your screen onto the Webex Board. You can share wirelessly through the Webex Teams App or, if the user who needs to share their screen doesn’t have the Webex Teams App, they can connect via the HDMI cable. Tip: Computer audio only transmits to Webex Board through the HDMI connection.

Share screen Connect HDMI cable 1. From the home screen on the Webex Board , tap Share screen 2. Connect the HDMI cable to your laptop To Stop Share screen 1. Disconnect the HDMI cable to your laptop
