Monte Carlo based models

❑ Transport o MC-models transports particles generally in the medium and interaction is determined from the actual medium o EGSnrc, GEANT, Penelope… o Patient model can be “fooled” to be scaled water by by changing look-up tables!

❑ Deposit o Energy deposit in each voxel is based on the medium o This can be converted to dose in water by the stopping power ratio
