 For the Analysis of Real Life Speech , advise students to research the context of how it came to be written/ delivered, as well as some relevant biographical detail for the writer or speaker. Ask them to identify the main techniques employed in the speech and encourage them to select an extract to read that demonstrates these. The accent of the original need not be used unless you consider it is necessary to do so to demonstrate a particular point already made.
