Ada Greenwood will begin his second season as San Diego's head coach in 2004. Becoming the third head coach in USD's storied twelve-hear history last year, Greenwood led the Toreros to a 9-8-4 record, culmi– nating in a fifth straight NCAA College Cup appearance. As San Diego's top assistant the previous fi ve seasons, Greenwood helped USD to a 66-30-5 record and four NCAA College Cup appearances.
Greenwood graduated from Dominican College in 1997 after completing a stellar three-year career at the NAIA power. Greenwood was an AIA All-American midfielder and the leading goal-scorer in the Indepen– den t Conference, ending his career with 39 goals and 41 assists. He was an assistant at Branson High School from 1993- 98. During his tenure, Branson was undefeated in all of 1996-97 and was ranked first in the nation by Umbro. With Branson, Greenwood also captured five straight NorCal Titles from 1993-97. Greenwood began his head coaching experience with the San Diego Surf, guiding the U-18, U-17, and U-12 club soccer pro– grams to regional, state and national recognition. He led the Surf U-17 to the 2000 Na tional Championship. Greenwood's club experience also includes directing the Marin Red Rockers in Northern California. A native of England, Greenwood grew up in Southend in Essex County on the outskirts of London. He played soccer at Eastwood High School and also played tennis.
Greenwood commands a Torero program tbat averages over 10 wins per season.

**While an assistant at USD Greenwood also guided the San Diego Surf club program to regional, state and national prominence, including winning the National Championship in 2000 with the Surf U-17 team.
