In 1968 a collection of growers from La Rioja came together to create the winery Cosecheros Fuenmayor. This Crianza is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Mazuelo and is aged in both American and French oak for a year before bottling. On the nose, a complex bouquet of raspberry, blackberry, and toast. More of the same on the palate, with some licorice on the finish. A dense palate and ripe tannins lends some ageing potential. It can be served with veggies, red meat sauces, and roasts.

Porca de Murça is Douro’s leading brand and one of Portugal’s oldest wine brands having celebrated 85 years of existence in 2013. Grape varieties in this wine include Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca. It is a clean, deep and bright ruby coloured wine with red berry and cherry notes showing intensity and freshness. It displays ripe fruit flavors, excellent structure, and is very well balanced. Pairs excellently with game meat such as venison.
