• The “Colour Atlas” has been changed to “Colour Atlas and Practical Guide”. • • Besides that, the Atlas has been enriched by the addition of a large number of photomicrographs of human tissues. • Some photomicrographs have been added to the text chapters as well. • To make this book a practical guide, the illustrations are arranged in groups based on similarity of appearance. • The spinal cord, cerebellar/cerebral cortex which technically fall under the neuroanatomy, have been discussed in a very elaborate manner including slides of these regions with full description. Review on Flipkart: The book is good for reference but need more improvements like, The picture should be "real- time"

• It serves as textbook and practical review book in the same go. (compare with IB Singh, not good as a review book). • There is a consistent approach to topic- goes from relevant gross anatomy , then structural organization of the tissue and then goes to basic histology. (see chapters 12, 14 ,15- pages 196 – 206 ,223, 225, 228 for instance). Student will be able to understand easily and not get confused. These chapters also showcase the good quality of histology drawings. • We also have similar chapter on SPinal Cord (chapter 21) • The figures meant for concept building are specifically kept B&W, so that student just before practical exams looks only at colored figures, which he needs to draw in the exam. (save time before exams, unique to this book ) • Extra-Other points like simple language, clear language, no ambiguity, bullets , good sized diagrams, clinical correlates , useful for both UGs and PGs (targets UGs, but PGs will also like it) • 83 colour photomicrographs • 118 coloured diagrams of histological slides • 186 line diagrams and 3D illustrated slides
