Sep 8, 1979 Alecia Beth Moore is born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Her parents divorce by the time she turns 10, and she begins writing lyrics as an emotional outlet. 1995 Moore adopts the stagename P!nk (inspired by the Tarantino film Reservoir Feb 2000 After leaving all-girl R’n’B group Choice, P!nk releases There You Go , her debut solo single. It reaches the top 10 in the States, Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Apr 2000 P!nk’s debut album Can’t Take Me Home is released to great commercial success, selling four million copies worldwide. She wins Best New Female Artist at the Billboard Awards that year.
