The Recompense Fund is pleased to award a record number of grants to island nonprofits for 2023. Recompense will be granting nonprofits $69,800, its largest award ever - thanks wholly to the generosity

of its donors, Recompense is excited to kick off its award season by announcing it will grant $4,900 to the Chebeague Island Community Sailing School to pay for free tuition for year-round Chebeague Island residents. Recompense is announcing this grant earlier than the rest, so that interested islanders can apply to the sailing school within its deadline. This 2023 grant, made possible by the generosity of the greater island community, is one of 10 nonprofits Recompense will support this year. We look forward to announcing the remaining in the next few weeks.
