NEWBURY MP Richard Benyon has backed the upcoming Newbury Weekly News Best in Business Awards to promote the area as a centre for commerce. Mr Benyon will be attending the award ceremony next month, which aims to celebrate the hard work and achievements of the best businesses in West Berkshire and North Hampshire. And speaking this week, the MP said he was greatly looking forward to hearing from local busi- ness owners at what he called an “inspiring” event. “You meet and hear stories of their experiences,” he said. “Of getting businesses going and the many difficulties they have faced and overcome; their determi- nation, their hard work and the risk they’ve taken. “It’s an evening full of inspiring stories, but also it’s an evening celebrating this exceptional part of the world. “It’s a fantastic place to do busi- ness and I think the awards are a really good way of showing a wider
