Chivas Performance Guidelines v.Jun 2018

3. Looking Back Meeting cont.

Manager Preparation

The key areas of the Looking Back meeting which managers need to prepare for are as follows:

Delivery against business objectives:

Managers are encouraged to keep details of 1:1 meetings and any feedback shared throughout the year. This enables them to more easily recall examples and also consider the frequency of examples or behaviours when preparing for the Looking Back meeting.

The following key questions may help:

• Has the objective been delivered? • Were all of the measures met, or only some of them? • Was the delivery of the objective well planned or rushed towards the due date? • What in particular stood out as a positive about the delivery? • Did they keep all key stakeholders informed throughout the project/task? • What could they have done differently to improve the end result?

This level of consideration is important to ensure fairness and consistency throughout the business when assessing employees.

In order to fully deliver each objective, all measures must be delivered and met. If some were not met and partial achievement has been reached, the achievement percentage should honestly reflect this.
