3. Looking Back Meeting cont.

Conducting the Meeting:

Effective preparation should ensure the meeting is constructive and mutually beneficial for both parties.

It is vitally important that both the manager and the employee engage fully in the process and take the opportunity to discuss:

• The importance and value of the employee’s contribution to the business • The Company culture and values • Robust examples of strengths and developments areas • Progress against the agreed Learning Plan • Commitment and on-going support required to foster the employee’s career ambitions
