New Frontiers • FinCEN data as of 2017 showed over 400  banks and credit unions were doing business  with marijuana related businesses (based on  SAR reporting).   • Legislative efforts have failed to produce a  solution; uncertainty remains.  

New Frontiers • Gambling, including Sports Betting and  Fantasy Sports. – Comparative stability under prior law in  compliance with UIGEA will be upset by new  initiatives in these areas.   – Payment providers will need to get the law right in  order to continue effective compliance. – Geolocation, Coding, and other KYC techniques,  including data analytics, will be important.
