After the board’s final decision, a copy of the decision shall be forwarded to the complainant and the Chancellor, along with notice that the complainant may now directly appeal the district’s decision to the Chancellor’s Office within thirty (30) days from the date the governing board issues the final decision or from the date the district provides notice to the complainant of such a decision (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 5 § 59339(a)). An appeal to the Chancellor’s Office must be accompanied by a copy of the local governing board’s decision or evidence that the complainant filed an appeal with the governing board and that no response was received within forty-five (45) days.
