A choice of payoff and take-up stands

PS Costruzioni Meccaniche is a worldwide company, designing and manufacturing cable packaging, rewinding lines, payoff and take-up stands. The company produces two types of PS payoff and take-up stand. The portal type is available in various models, to suit the dimensions of the reels used. It is normally used for heavy reels, with diameters from 1,600mm to 3,000mm.

Cantilever type with hydraulic pistons ▲ ▲

The cantilever type features hydraulic pistons for easy reel lifting while the closure of the pintles can be either pneumatic or hydraulic. Both the portal and the cantilever type are equipped with AC winding/unwinding motors. The reels are lifted using motor gearboxes, while the lifting and closure of the pintles uses a motor gearbox with an electrical and mechanical torque limiter. Portal payoffs are housed on tracks and have a lateral movement, which facilitates the lifting operations. The payoff can also work as a wire guide. It is suitable for smaller reels (diameters from 400mm to 1,250mm).
