Forty Days Full - An Invitation To Real Life

Day Thirty-Seven: More Than A Conqueror

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” ( Romans 8:37 NIV)

E veryone loves a winner! Nobody wants to be a loser! But, to be a conqueror, you have to conquer something. Conquering requires opposition. Without a test there is no testimony. Without a challenge there is no victory. Satan is a defeated foe, but he has not given up. So many in this world are clueless to the battle that rages all around them. Their eternal souls are in danger of being lost. They are losing because the eyes of their heart have been blinded by lies. Paul said, "I have fought the good fight" (2 Tim. 4:7). What fight was he talking about? He was describing how he had made every effort to give his life for the sake of the gospel. He was passionate about spreading the good news of Jesus to the world. His fight was to follow Jesus in laying down his life. Our victory is not just about us but is for those who have not yet heard. The Christian conqueror wins enveloped in the knowledge of God's abiding love. There is nothing in this world that can separate me from the love of Christ. Satan knows he can’t stop the flow of God’s love. But, if he can convince me that I am unworthy of God's love, he's got the upper hand. You see, Satan is after your intimacy with God. The bullseye for his lies is our awareness of God’s love. He knows that is the true source of our power. He hates healthy relationship and your communion with God. The only thing that can separate me
