NetOmnia to monitor 22,000 mile network

Centina Systems has successfully deployed NetOmnia TM , a customer- centric network and service assurance solution, for SDN Communications, a business- to-business broadband service provider in South Dakota. NetOmnia manages SDN’s multi-vendor network with over 50 unique product types from over 20 different vendors. With NetOmnia, SDN monitors device alarms, pro-actively manages capacity and performance related issues, correlates service failures and identifies customer impact in real-time. Tom Durfee, SDN Communications vice-president of network operations, said: “Of all the products we evaluated, only NetOmnia was an out-of-the-box solution. “All the other network management and service assurance products were tool kits, requiring extensive customization and ongoing administration services. In addition, NetOmnia enables us to be proactive and identify potential problems before our customers have service interruptions.” “NetOmnia has a user friendly interface that allowed our staff to come up-to-speed quickly,” Durfee added.
