Description Construction of additional parking (approximately 75 stalls) and drop off lanes to the east side of the Community Center and south of the Ice Arena. Justification There are two primary justifications for this project. The first is to add a drop off lane for hockey players and families to use so that they are not congesting the entrance to the Ice Arena and Community Center. The second is that the City of Shakopee has insufficient parking at the Ice Arena to be considered as a site for state tournament games. The addition of this parking will make the customer experience better, and give the City of Shakopee more opportunity to host statewide events. Total Project Cost: $250,000
