Clinical grading scale

Pigmentation 0- No dyspigmentation 1- Few discrete areas of dyspigmentation or lentigines

2- Multiple discrete areas of moderate dyspigmentation or small lentigines 3- Many discrete areas of severe dyspigmentation or numerous lentigines 4- Extensive dyspigmentation or lentigines Fine lines/rhytides (utilizing Fitzpatrick wrinkle scale) 0- Fine wrinkles 1- Fine to moderate depth wrinkles, moderate depth lines 2- Fine to deep wrinkles, numerous lines with or without redundant skin folds Redness/telangiectasias 0- No redness or telangiectasias 1- Light erythema or few telangiectasias, localized 2- Moderate erythema or multiple telangiectasias, localized 3- Moderate to severe violaceous erythema or many telangiectasias, multiple sites 4- Severe, deep, violaceous erythema, or telangiectasias throughout Skin texture 0- No irregularity 1- Subtle irregularity, few localized areas 2- Rough, few localized areas 3- Rough, multiple localized areas 4- Rough diffuse Overall improvement 0- No improvement
