THE Capris 50-100, one of the world’s most popular laser wire marking system, has hit the big 250 mark following receipt of an order from Boeing Aviation Services, Shanghai, China.

Introduced in 2003 as the original entry-level bench-top laser wire marking system for use in MRO, avionics and low volume manufacturing of aerospace and defence electrical wire harnesses, it has since become the benchmark product at this level. According to Spectrum, it is now the most widely sold laser wire marker in the world.Capris 50-100 serial number 250 will ship to Boeing’s heavy maintenance facility in Shanghai at Pudong airport. In total, Spectrum has now supplied over 700 laser wire markers to over 40 countries.
Dr Peter Dickinson, Spectrum’s CEO, said: “We are delighted that our number one customer over time, Boeing, has placed this order and will be the recipient of our 250 th Capris 50-100. “The Capris 50-100 was envisaged as the world’s first bench top wire marker and as a low cost system to facilitate low volume users replace hot stamp wire markers which were found to be causing damage to thinner wall aerospace wires. “Demand for these systems has been very firm this year and it is pleasing to reach this landmark number of 250.” Spectrum Technologies plc – UK Fax : +44 1656 655 437 Email : info@spectrumtech.com Website : www.spectrumtech.com
