Saco Polymers Inc (formerly known as Padanaplast USA) has bought out AEI Compounds Ltd, headquartered in Sandwich, Kent, UK. This transaction represents a combination of the market leaders in the US and Europe/Middle East in the crosslinkable and polymer compounds manufacturing industry based on Sioplas technology. The companies share a market focus on the wire and cable and PEX plumbing pipe industries. In addition, AEI Compounds is one of the major suppliers worldwide of thermoplastic and silane crosslinkable halogen free flame retardant (HFFR) compounds to the wire and cable industry.
