But these guarantors of safety aloft come out of a tradition that is no less concerned for the soundness of the nut/washer assemblies in the wheels of a farm wagon. Tellingly, the same manufacturer had first noted that all of its studs and nuts are stamped with a code for heat-resistance traceability. That sensibility pervades the industry.
